Oral Surgery

Fees for our treatments are listed below. For more information call or email us.

Dr Caroline McCarthy focuses on complex oral surgery procedures, including the removal of difficult or impacted teeth, wisdom tooth surgery, and oral biopsies. Treatments are carried out under local anaesthetic, with intravenous sedation available where appropriate to ensure patient comfort and a calm, supportive experience.

A referral from a general dentist is required prior to booking an appointment with Caroline. For patients of Crowley Dental Clinic, referrals can be arranged through Dr. Barry Crowley. Alternatively, patients may be referred directly by their own dentist. External patients will discharged back to their own dentist on completion of their oral surgery procedure.

Payment and Health Insurance

Payment is required in full on the day of surgery. We accept cash and card payments. Some surgical procedures carried out can be claimed through your private health insurance e.g VHI, LAYA, ILH etc. Caroline is registered with all the major health insurance companies and can claim payment directly from them, when a surgical procedure has been carried out.

Straight-forward extractions, (teeth that do not require surgery to remove) can not normally be claimed through the health insurance companies. Unfortunately it is not always possible to predict if a tooth extraction will be surgical or straight-forward in advance.
